These dishes feature native shells enhanced with different prints via the decoupage technique.  The process involves cleaning, polishing, and preparing the shells before applying a paper pattern.  The decorated shells are then coated with three layers of clear resin to protect the image from fading and make the dish waterproof, resulting in a glass-like finish and shine.   Once set, the edges and backs are finished with gold or silver paint.  Each shell is created by nature, then handmade and individually painted, making them unique.
