Shells are totally individual and unique, so they are as Mother Nature intended; as such, no two shells are the same. They will show signs of age, wear and tear and weathering to varying degrees.  Each shell is also unique because it's handmade and individually painted.
 
When cleaning the edges, please use a soft cloth or duster. You can wipe the dish out with a damp cloth if need be, as it's waterproof.
